Wooden whistle maybe was good the old days. Now we have a progress and you should accept it. Have you actually tried to whistle the jackalope whistle proper way, or is your opinion based on stories and heard "facts" or personal failures to match the lowest possible standards for whistling??? If any of that is true, you should shut up and stop endorsing unsafe practices on a public board where it maybe taken for an advice by newbies. Improper whistling technique isn't an excuse for doing it unsafe. Call John Walker, he will teach you how to whistle :).
