seahunt, i thought i was the only person who worried about The Lords Of The Sea, and i had figured that most californians just dont think of reality in terms of reality enough to worry about it too.

welcome to the club, seahunt!

i didnt bring my spear on our freedive trip. i figured with 3 freedivers present there was safety in numbers. i also stayed closer to the rocks and the shore than you did, buddy, so you were my early warning system on that day.

i only really worry when i am freediving alone. and then i definitely have my spear on the float. if you do that, and just tell others that the spear is for halibut and lings, it wont alarm them. reality can be very alarming to others, particulary the Joe and Sally Resort Diving crowd. dont want to cause an unnecessary fuss.

the furthest north that an attack has been recorded is South Russian Gulch near Jenner. Bodega is about as far north as those fish regularly wander.

i donated the extra ab that Joe gave us that day to a lady here at work.

see you later, Old Buddy.
