Frank, you have showed some antagonism in several of your post about the subject. This is adverse. I am not alone on this observation.

Do you consider sitting 100' deep in a pile of scattered ship wreck debris routine recreational diving?

Do you consider solo diving beyond a safe depth in which a diver can NOT perform an emergency swimming ascent routine recreational diving?

Why would DIR work for extreme diving and be considered by your own admission "not necessary" for routine recreational diving?

DIR is simple. A matter of fact I find it the simplist way to dive in any form. Why convolute a "recreational dive" just because you don't like the term "Doing it Right" or the people advocating it?
