Which is better:

1. DIR gear and no mindset

2. DIR mindset (or if you prefer to call it: a mindset that is focused on physical fitness, mental keenness and a high level of diving skill, protocol, practice, awareness and planning) AND non-dir gear.

Also, is there a middle ground?
