No problem. I didn't realize the quick release was how the harness was adjusted. The fact that the quick release is the only way to adjust the harness-I think that's what you said-seems doubly problematic. Not only can the plastic fail releasing the harness, but you're compelled to tug on the plastic QR cross piece in order to tighten the shoulder strap. The tendency would then be for people to slither into the harness loose, stand up and then, with the full weight of a set of steel 125's on the QR, give the webbing tail a good hard tug to cinch up. That just puts frequent extra stress on a thin piece of plastic. As you rightly pointed out, why mess with any of that when there's a better way.
