I prefer the Patagonia Capilene underwear to anything called polypropylene. Capilene doesn't hold on to odors as badly as polypro. You could also try the stuff put out by North Face or Marmot. If you've never been to Adventure 16 in West L.A. I highly recommend them for outdoor gear.
