Warm feet are good. I suggest a wicking layer of polypro (way cheaper than GoreTex) under your woolies.
They'll let your feet sweat a bit more without giving you that chilled feeling.
A thin layer of polypro undies under the rest of your undergarments is likewise a good idea.
