One drawback to NITROX, you mostly can't get it conveniently. It's really irritating.

There is the economic issue as Chris and Terry point out. I think all problems could be solved if the tank stations would fill NITROX in a regular tank. That would hugely expand the availability and use of it. I have gone to the Lois Ann just to get a fill, since with their membrane system, they will fill any tank.
Still, I know enough about chemistry to tell you (until corrected with a reason) that there is no reason (aside from liability and prejudice) not to fill any tank with NITROX.
If they did that, usage would soar.
