Not to castigate anyone who's responded to this, but . . .
The original point of the story has nothing to do with 12-mile, 200-mile, or other limits. For many years, 3 miles was THE limit and the story merely anecdotally illustrated how that came into being.
However . . .
The ensuing comments/discussion are an interesting illustration of how easy it is either to miss the orignal point of a post or to start taking dicussions off track to where you're not talking about the original thought.
Something to think about in what would appear to be the dawning of a "new" age of disucssion for this BBS. Just a thought.
