I've done this for years. I've run nail guns off of a scuba tank many times. It could could trim out a small house with a tank of air. Assuming the are no leaks. Get a short 3/8 pipe nipple. Center bore the pipe inside to create a larger inside diameter that would match the center nipple on a standard low pressure hose. The threads are the same, screw it on, put on standard air fitting. If you don't have any leaks it'll run forever. The first stage drops the pressure to about 120 psi. But, not a lot of volume required for something like an inpact wrench.
