There are people who actually free-climb rocks...without ropes! Some people ride bicycles without a helmet. I've even heard of this guy who dives in the chilly waters of New York without a hood :-0 The fact is, not every activity is done with the greatest effort to be safe. Without risk takers, we would have no astronauts, pilots, race car drivers, and we would live elsewhere because Columbus would not have been allowed to sail if it were up to people with your attitude. Is there a safer way to dive than the way most do? Yes. Should everyone be required to live the way you want them to? Of course not. The last time I looked, this was still a free country. I am happy to be able to make choices concerning my life. You have every right to disagree with those choices, but they are still choices.
