What are you talking about, the gallery of backpack divers? And why do you think what you advocate is better? You probably never tried solo or attempted to become an independent diver or a backpack, have you? I feel divers would be safer if they became more independent and not dive with a false sense of security of a unreliable buddy.
A certain group here complain all the time about this newsgroup not being open and free. Why are you trying to squelch the solo or backpack divers?
