The GPS has the standard features and is very accurate. What I like is the sounder. The sounder penetrates through the kelp and provides a whiteline to show you the make up of the bottom structure ie sand, mud, and rock. It is also sensitive enough to show you where the thermocline is as long as there is a good variance, indicate where the kelp is underwater and if the bloom is thick enough it will pick that up as well. I have also compared it to my friends and when they run over some of the wrecks they get a faint line where I get a full screen shot. You can add charts and they are very accurate and detailed. It also has a feature that provides an arrow in the direction of the waypoint on the sounder screen. So instead of splitting the screen I just follow the direction of the arrow to get me back to the waypoint. The brighter the sunlight the more visible the screen is and you can adjust the light at night. The other nice feature is it will take XYZ coordinate ie lat/long/depth.
