Sometimes I agree with you, sometimes not, but that one was from left field. I really hope you think about what you said here. That is about not facing life. All I can read in what you say is that children should not dive (or most other activities) because something might go wrong or is it OK if it happens to a friend instead of a parent. Should a parent never dive or do another dangerous activity or is it OK cuz the kid isn't there. They only get told about it.
Just wait until you think about having kids. It will take at least a few years to figure out what your balance is.
