I had a >20 year old small waterproof box that held dive goodies and such. Many years ago one of the latches broke from abuse. It still worked for my purposes so I just lived with it. At an event I saw the Pelican folks and told them how my old box was still in use and even how hard it was for me to break the latch. They asked me to bring it in for a replacement. I said no because it was old and my fault. They asked me really really nicely to please bring it in as they do not want imperfect product in the field.
When I took it in, they acted like they were glad to have it and everyone gathered around because they barely remembered making them that way. I love my new replacement case and I love Pelican Products -- in a platonic sort of way.
