I completely agree with you about reframing from coffee and drinking the night before.
I myself am not completely innocent in this regard, as I sometimes have a glass of wine with dinner the night before a dive.
I do refrain from caffeine and drink warm water during dive trips to avoid the dehydration factor, and have done so for many years.
However I know one self proclaimed DIR advocate who I have observed closing out the bar many a night before a dive.
I have also observed you dive with this person.
If you believe this practice to be so dangerous, and truly believe in the principles of DIR you profess, why do you choose to dive with this person?
