Familiar with La Jolla Canyon, but the best
canyon diving in the area is the arm of the
canyon system north of Scripps Pier, aka
Scripps Canyon.
Vertical canyon walls, vertical cracks in the
walls, horizontal shelfs, swim-thrus, corynactis,
metridiums, plentiful nudibranchs, swell sharks,
wolf eels, squid runs, an occasional blue shark,
and the knowledge that the unseen bottom below
you is much deeper then you probably want to
dive (if its not just swim a little further west).
