I feel a accomplished free diver would take to scuba very easily but the opposite may not be true. I've been on scuba at 50' when a showoff free diver appears and hangs out for a minute or two and then went up. This really ticks me off. ;-)
I'm jealous of real good free divers, there is no doubt they get to see more animals at close range before they are spotted. In general I feel they have superior aquatic skills over scuba divers.
