I doubt it. The fin subject is easier to solve, believe me. I've visited several scuba message boards for quite a while. These debates regularly come up and end within a few days. Can you say that about the Middle East conflict? I wish it were so.
As far as 'bicycle kick' is concerned, this is the standard argument of the anti FF faction. I have seen divers bicycle in a way that their fins (any fins) just slice the water, never work as a paddle, and this kind of kick will do just the same with FF: it will not propell you. What is true is that the FF require a faster and shorter pace flutter kick than a stiffer conventional paddle fin. This is not to be confused with a bicycle kick, though.
That's all I have to say, and I will end my part with this: whatever fin a diver is happy with is a good fin for him/her.
