Yep, this is no place for genteel SoCal divers. The water's freezing, the viz is non-existent, and the only place not infested with diver-chomping GREAT WHITE SHARKS (all of whom claim Jaws is their favorite movie) are the places overrun by wild packs of rabid sea otters! And the roads are killers!!! HWY 1 makes the roller coaster at Magic Mountain look like a garden path!!!! So do yourselves a favor and stay put.
BTW. We're cutting off the water, from now on you'll have to buy our wine if you want to drink anything from up here.
Oh yeah, I went into Bodega Bay with full gear - once. It's called SCUBA surfing...
