You said earlier in this thread;

"I can rag on Halcyon but don't worry I wont."

Please, 'rag' on Halcyon with some shred of basis.
Since you now say that Halcyon is 'comprable',
please supply what basis of application and experience are you driving this consclusion from.

When you are done with that, please draw from
examples why you feel Halcyon's product line is
'not doing so well'. From what I can see,
Halcyon is having a hard time keeping up with
production, even after they moved into a much
larger manufacturing facility last year. There
have been times where divers and shops had to wait
weeks on end for that wing, back plate, ACB
system, scout light, spool, reel, or HID system
because they (Halcyon) could not keep up with demand. They run their materials suppliers ragged
in keeping enough on hand to maintain demand.

OMS has attempted to copy Halcyon's products. OMS
and Dive Rite have even offered DIR configured
harnesses as an option. If Halcyon wasn't so
successful in meeting the demand of the sport, why
are OMS and Dive Rit willing to provide gear that
can be configured in a DIR kit, but yet Halcyon
will not do the same in making gear standard in
configuration and design to OMS and Dive Rite?

The answer lies in the core of Halcyon's original
marketing target... the divers who demanded better
and finally received it.
