because you need to relax more the deeper you go

and you definitely dont need freediver fins way down there. a short pair of solid non-split jetfins is good enough.

youre not going to be finning way down there, just floating around, and your fins just steer you then.

since we are talking about deep now, here is the appropriate training regimen for going deep:

basic open water scuba: 60 fsw

deep diving specialty: 100 fsw preferably with nitrox too

advanced nitrox: 150 fsw on EAN25 [I know GUE disagrees]

advanced deep air & stage deco: 185 fsw [I know GUE violently disagrees]

basic trimix: 200 fsw

advanced trimix: 300 fsw

NOAA or Navy hardhat diving: beyond 300 fsw

Any training less than this to these depths would be ill advised. Every year morons dive on air to 300 fsw and get killed.

I hope I said everything right. I dont want to annoy Monsignor Tribes any more than ab-solutely necessary. :)
