#1) Giant Sea Bass aggregation areas such as the east end of Anacapa and Italian Gardens at Catalina. There should also be provisions for other established aggregation areas as they become known. The giants are without a doubt, the most magnificent resident of our waters! Their presence is a source of pride for all who love these waters.

#2) All of Santa Barbara Island. A total island ecosystem, from the depths, through the kelp forests, all the way to the shore. That island would be the smallest in actual square milage of any such place on the entire west coast of the USA! SBI also has a fully modern ranger station that could assist in monitoring the waters around the island. It would be worth making concessions in other areas to have SBI protected.
If SBI were completely nonconsumptive, in 10 years it would be the jem of the entire Pacific!
