Wayne, why would you want to breath less? Why buy a low performer when you can buy a Scubapro or an Atomic? Why keep companies in business that give you an inferior product? Why buy from companies that give you no service? Are divers so cheap that they don't care? Is it only the price that matters?
Wayne I have repaired and dove the Mare-Voit regulator. These regs. suck (hard) I think that if you look at the 2nd stage you will see why. Open one up and look at the lever configuration, look at the plastic housing config.
I think that CO2 build up to a real problem for many divers (and having a regulator that sucks hard, is one of the factor that cause it).
The techies very often detune there high flow regulators and some use middle range units. They do this because they are using HE. Which makes even your Mares regulator breath sweet.
