For shear excitement and visual thrills he wins. The 100 pound hatch clipped to the BC! Now that is great. I can picture the BC size that lifts an extra 100 pounds after making up for wetsuit compression at 4 atm! Then the loss of the weight belt so that his full BC and wetsuit sends him screaming to the surface with that 100 pound hatch still clipped in place (Bob reported it clipped ot the BC, not the weight belt)! Then breaching like a whale -- coming out of the water to his knees -- was a real croud pleaser.
Personally, I hate to let the facts get in the way of a really good sea story.
