Probably 80-90 dives this past year (which is low for me), and about 20 of those were beach dives. most of these were at a little place in SouthEast Asia that had excellent shore diving just 50 yards from my room.
Locally, perhaps 5% of my dives are from the beach, and even then, most of those are at Redondo Cyn for squid or halibut.
Shore diving is just too rough on the camera equipment.
