Let's take a poll on beach diving. To be somewhat representative . . . (1) You have to be honest, and (2) Those of you who "lurk" need to participate.
If you're a lurker, know that you can reply and type in a phony name and a phony e-mail address and it'll still post, preserving your anonimity.
Here's the poll:
1. In the last 12 months (and NOT counting your basic classor any advanced-training classes you've taken that required a beach dive), have you done a pleasure dive from the beach?
2. If you have, of the total number of dives you've done in the last 12 months, what percentage were beach dives?
3. If you have NOT done a pleasure beach dive, why not?
