Can get a dive in after work (esp. during lobster season), or on a week-end morning and still have the rest of the day to do something else.
Boat dives typically take a longer drive to the boat. waiting around for the boat to leave, waiting for the boat to get where it's going, jostling with divers for space, Waiting for the stampede of divers to rush the gate, and I haven't even got wet yet.
I usually prefer to deal with the sand, (or a rock entry), and scaling the cliff-sides of some of the more remote areas of PV adds to the adventure.
