Did the instructors in question refuse to sell dive gear in general, or did they refuse to promote the brands your store carried, as well as to use these same brands exclusively while teaching?
I fully appreciate the need to generate revenue, but I have yet to find a shop that carries all the items I believe are most suitable for me. I'd have a hard time advising new divers to buy only what they see on the shelves, esp in the smaller shops that carry only a couple labels.
