The change in weighting has nothing to do with the weight of the diver and gear, only the their total volume and the difference of the fluid densities.

Thus if Karl's numbers for the density of fresh and salt water are correct (I have not checked them), the weight change would be:

(62.4 lbs/ft^3 - 64 lbs/ft^3) * (Vdiver + Vgear) ; when V is ft^3

or

weight change = (-1.6 lbs/ft^3) * (Vdiver + Vgear) ; when V is ft^3

Nowhere did I see the correct formula posted.
However it could be my oversight.
