Not sure if folks remember reading the story in the LA Times acouple months ago about the lobster poacher, but his arraignment is Aug. 8 in Bellflower. He's facing charges of sale of sport-caught lobster and possession of overlimits of lobster.
He took most all of them inside SM Bay, which is set aside for us recreational guys and off-limits to all commercial take of bugs. If anyone is interested in seeing how this case is handled, I'm going to be there and can pass along the court address and time of the appearance when I find out.
I know there was a case along the same lines in San Diego and the guy got clobbered because divers demanded justice.
