OOPS! Sounds like some misunderstanding. I certainly was not meaning to
knock the Rodales board.
These days, I don't have time to do more than lurk on the Rodales board,
but it's a great board and probably the best for content and layout. I
like the report function especially. All those great pictures. There are
people there that have posted longer than me. I always look for Tiller's
Posts, posts from Beverly, Strongdiver, and posts from all the other people
that I have come to respect over there. Of course Doc is still dishing out
diving lore, medical advise and helping to make a board community. I have
no beef at all with the Rodales board. I wish I had the time to participate
more. Still....
I mentioned it as an unmoderated board and as such it has had pretty wild
events. There have been nasty events and nasty attacks and even some nasty,
sophisticated attacks. Sometimes it has even gotten thick enough to be hard
to avoid. About a year ago, I remember commentary on DiverLink and this board
about having to leave Rodales. At the time, the board was under pretty heavy
attack and there internal harassment. Right now, from what I have seen, the
board not only it's usual friendly place, it has no active attackers and not
only that, I get the feeling the community (noting its size and diversity)
there is still developing and is has come to a point where it similar to the
tight community of DiverLink. The more the community develops, the less it
will be vulnerable to the next outside attacks and better at managing internal
problems. That's cool. No, I have no problem with Rodales at all.

Remember when it got people excited when someone posted that they had
hired Navy SEALS to instruct her. Now you would have to claim you killed
Navy SEALS to get that reaction.
