Mike I think that you are right in most of what you have said. But, I think that the problem that you had with that "strong and nasty individual" could of been handle a little different.
The community that read the post here are not fools. They judge the content of the post on it's merits. If there are no merits in the content, then they stop reading it.
I think that best way to handle "strong and nasty individals" is to let the community take care it themselves.
As far as the sockpoppet's I sometimes post under seasnake and tribes and one other(which you know about). Seasnake tells jokes and tribes says things with an edge. My son also post off this computer(his stuff always has an edge to it and I take no credit for it).
Tribes has been working on a history of dive boats in SoCal. Tribes has a long memory (do you remember the Californian and the Forerunner?).
