When the tide rushes back out I have seen it pick up fin tips, causing a loss of balance. If you go down that next big wave will catch you. If you time your sets properly you can walk till you can not stand turn and use the fins for paddle so you are just out side the surf zone. Then lay on your back and put your fins on. Reverse the process to exit. It seems to work very well.
