I'm going to spell this wrong, but try muraic acid. It's used to clean pools. You need to use it outside, preferable on concrete. You pour a bit of the liquid on the shell and wait for it to bubble up. Rinse in cold water and repeat as needed, but be mindful that the acid will eventually burn right through the shell if you use it too many times.
