What is the best way for me to preserve the bugs I bagged yesterday for a bug feast on Saturday?

They are all still alive under a wet towel in my ice chest, but I don't think they'll last much longer. Can I get away with tailing them, and then keeping the tails in the fridge until Saturday afternoon, or do I need to freeze them? I was hoping to avoid the freezer, and keep the fresh. Maybe steam the tails now and just pop them in the broiler for a bit on Saturday?

Any comments, advice, derogatory remarks?

-- Oh, and for the guy complaining about the lack of bugs, try diving the Peace. There were herds of bugs in the live wells, and I'm happy to say I had my first multi-lobster dive. I got some great advice from the guys on board, and just got nasty with the bugs. Now if I could only grab fewer shorts ;-)
