Nice job. Taking good can be really, really tough, but you did great for your first time out. You may want to start playing around with what you've got before you start complicating your setup with strobes. Try taking photos in shallow water with lots of light while playing with the exposure and contrast levels. It's helpful to have a slate with you so you can keep track of what your doing....

One of the beauties of using a digital camera is that the learning curve is really fast, since you get instant feedback. If you're interested in learning more about composition, color temps, focal lengths, etc.... to help you improve, there are many great UW photo books out there. One I really like is "The Underwater Photography Handbook" by Annemarie and DAnja Kohler.
