These reserves will serve as an overdue reward for the good people who enjoy the beauty of the sea, not for what they can take from it, but simply for what it is. For years it has been an injustice to the non-consumptive enthuasists, that virtually every square inch of our waters has been open for take. Those who do not kill animals have the right to swim in waters that reflect their committment to the preservation of the life in OUR waters.
This is good government!
