From DFG (about the GSB kept, doesn't say how many were killed by gillnets):

Commercial gillnet fishermen are allowed to keep one (1) giant sea bass taken incidentally per trip (FGC Section 8380).

Between 1995 and 2000, an average of 4,000 lbs. of giant sea bass were landed per year. The average fish weight was about 30 pounds, though this increased slightly in later years. The average number of landings over these six years was 122. The average ex-vessel price paid was about $2.50 per pound.

1998 was an unusually high year with 235 landings totaling 9,000 pounds. In most years there were about 100 landings.
