Very cool, but it sounds like you need some really good vis to get a good look at them. I didn't get the impression they cared about me any. They are now common in a number of areas along the coast, including around San Simeon Point.
As for the morays, I seem them rarely enough now adays, that I can't say much about their behavior. They used to be so common.
