I took my wife and tottler last weekend and was pretty dissappointed with what I saw. Diving is SO much better than that, but at least I was able to show the family a little bit of what there is to see under the sea.
Just the day before I was on the Spectre at Anacapa Island and our last dive was at Landing Cove, so I still had all those images of lush beauty fresh in my mind as I stood behind a mob of people crowded around fish bowl sized exhibits. I've seen larger aquariums in dorm rooms.
The fish didn't look as colorful and as happy as they do in the wild. They had frayed fins. The friendly little batray had fingernail scratch marks on his head, poor thing. And the poor rays in the shark tank are all chewed up around the edges. THAT IS JUST WRONG!!!
