While watching divers bubbles and drifting around Ellie (oil rig Ellie that is) this past Saturday with just perfect conditions all around we started to ponder the purpose of the 7 chains that are hanging down from only one side of the rig. Some of these chains are knotted at the bottom, about three feet above high tide mark. None of them have shackles and all are quite rusted.
If anyone knows the use for these, please post.
BTW? Got to finally dive with the famous Ken Kurtis, My doubles, the reel, lift bag, and long hose really made an impact. I will convert you to Nitrox Ken, resistance is futile?.lol
