"To elucidate things for Steve, lets just say that every fish i shoot, in a premeditated, selective way, with no bycatch,"
Your precision take works for you but would the same system of fishing feed 6+ billion people who sometimes like to eat fish? Can improvements be made in our commercial fishing practices? I hope so and BTW I'm against wasting any of the bycatch. I feel if anything the bycatch should be donated to hunger relief programs.
"is one less fish i buy at Whole Foods market or South Bay Grill caught in some net somewhere with tons of bycatch. "
If the bycatch amounts to tons of fish just stupidly discarded then this should be a crime so while many disadvantaged are starving.
"properly cooked and eaten."
Some fish tastes best raw with a touch of soy sauce. YMMV
