Thank you to those who were kind enough to point out a few shops in the area that carry a good selection of equipment. Your input was very helpful. It was, however, kind of disappointing to encounter a particular grouchy dive store owner who could only make baseless assumptions to myself and others and endlessly flap: "people like you should go to Sport Chalet." Wow, thats pretty constructive feedback.
Gee. I just thought it would be nice to be able to compare and buy things from the top vendors at one place. Duh, Sport Chalet doesn't carry top gear. I come from a place where fellow divers are eager to lend a hand and I thought it would have been a good idea to ask my question here. It's pretty disappointing to see a dive professional in a leadership position get all bent out of shape so easily.
