No a camera is not worth a life. Maybe she learned from this experience. Ok signals are not stupid, no matter who thought them up. What happened to every diver is responsible for their own safety? Maybe that tech skill, where you are able to reach and control your tank valve is not so silly after all. I think blaming the buddy for this is not the best way to treat this. I will tell you one thing, I bet she will never forget to check her air again.
