Two things you might want to think about:

1) They may have gotten into trouble with OSHA for overfilling cylinders (workplace hazard - they could get sued by shop employees for creating an unsafe working environment by not discouraging overfilling of cylinders). So there may be another reason - one they can't or won't talk to customers about - for this "new" policy.

2) Buy a bigger cylinder. There's cylinders nowadays that will bend you before you run out of air.

Hey, at least they are finally employing someone that knows something about scuba. Be glad your cylinder is no longer being filled by a 16 year old kid on loan from the skateboard department.

If you really want to get mad at SC, get mad at them for dumping all of the dive clubs that they used to sponsor. What kind of message are they trying to send to the diving community by taking that action?

(just in case their lawyers want to hassle me)
