Some mgrs @ S.C. are very conservative. John who used to run the Mission Viejo store & then the Irvine store happens to be VERY conservative.
The need to water fill is defunct if you fill slow enough & I have been getting it done this way for awhile now with no problems.
S.C. has a BIG fear of liability as any shop owner in California show (sue crazy state).
As others have said here an 80 at 2800 psi is no big deal. If you need more get a larger tank.
You can't blame S.C. for protecting themselves, they have allot to loose. Their investment in fill equipment is substantial, Huntington S.C. has TWO high output Bauer compressors with 10 or 12 storage cascade tanks. At least 50k of fill equipment on site.
