Janeen and worked all spring on our new pond. We designed and built the whole shebang. The waterfall, the pump house, the works. We wanted to have access to the fish themselves so we built the brick wall. Twice a day we sit on the wall and feed the Koi by hand. Now when you approach the pond, a beautiful swirl of 10 fish rush over to you abd stay right there...
We have one female who is a real piglet! She will stay right there waiting for her next meal.
They are truly individuals and each of them has a name. Some love oranges, others won't touch them! There are 6 fish that are around 24 inches in length. Four of those we have had for the last 7 years. We rescued 2 mature fish and the rest are new to us.
