Mojo, the Apeks US4 is a diaphragm first stage(a copy of the conself series) and a poor copy of the G250 second stage (it really sucks, it only works good on He mixs). You would be better off buy a Scubapro 550 2nd stage with a Mark 25 1st stage, for your pony or stage bottle.
If you want a regulator that is tough buy a Sherwood (they are pretty bullet proof). And they are made by an American company not a French one (like USDivers, SeaQuest, Apeks, Deepsea, etc.)Why make jobs for a bunch of Frenchman? One other thing, buy your regulator from a real dive store (not a sporting goods store or on the net). If you don't support the local stores all you will have is Sport Chalet and the net(how bad would that be).
