What if the powers that be had the wisdom to put the reserves into place 30 years ago~ Just imagine how incredibly splendid Santa Barbara Island would be today if all take had been prohibited.
It would now be the jem of the entire west coast!
I appreciate your support of the reserves Elaine! Can you imagine the selfishness of those people who fought against them? Their war revealed their true sentiments regarding the fisheries, it is very clear that "what's in it for me?" trumped "what's best for the environment?"
I still have a hard time believing that some people actually consider it a just fight to oppose the reserves. What gives them the right to kill the wildlife in every square inch of the ocean?
